Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth (low-sodium recommended)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until combined but do not overmix.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs in batches for about 8-10 minutes until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream and soy sauce; let simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for an additional 10-15 minutes on low heat until heated through.
