  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp Chives or Green Onions, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the Potatoes: Peel and quarter Russet potatoes. Place in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt.
  2. 2. Boil Until Tender: Bring water to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  3. 3. Drain and Steam Dry: Drain the potatoes in a colander and return them to the pot. Allow them to steam dry on low heat for about 5 minutes.
  4. 4. Mash and Mix: Using a potato masher or ricer, mash the potatoes until smooth. Gradually stir in butter and cream until combined. Season with salt and pepper.
