  • 2 tbsp instant coffee granules

  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp coffee extract

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, sugar, instant coffee granules, and salt until combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat melted butter and eggs until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract, then gradually add the dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  5. While cooling, prepare frosting by beating cream cheese with powdered sugar and coffee extract until smooth.
  6. Once brownies have cooled completely, frost evenly and cut into squares to serve.
