Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • ¼ cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper. In a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side until desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let rest.
  2. 2. Cook the linguine according to package directions in boiling salted water until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.
  3. 3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt remaining butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Pour in heavy cream and stir well. Gradually add mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, and cream cheese while stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
  4. 4. Combine cooked linguine with the cheese sauce mixture, adding reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.
  5. 5. Slice rested steak against the grain and serve atop or alongside cheesy linguine. Drizzle with any remaining garlic butter from the skillet.
