  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a springform pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it lightly.
  2. For the brownie layer, melt butter and cocoa in a bowl until smooth. Stir in sugar and add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly. Fold in flour gently until no dry streaks remain. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake for about 20 minutes until slightly set but soft in the center. Allow cooling completely before adding the cheesecake layer.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until creamy. Gradually mix in sugar and then add sour cream, vanilla, and flour until well combined. Pour over the cooled brownie layer.
  5. Bake for an additional 40-45 minutes until just set with a slight jiggle in the center. Leave the oven door ajar for one hour to cool gradually before refrigerating for at least four hours or overnight before serving.
