  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (divided)
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parsley, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and half the Italian seasoning until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  3. Shape the mixture into one-inch meatballs and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, and remaining Italian seasoning; simmer for about five minutes.
  5. Arrange meatballs in the baking dish and pour the warm sauce over them until submerged halfway. Cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let sit for five minutes before serving.
