  • 1 cup packed brown sugar (220g)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (240g)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
