  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Add heavy cream and chicken broth to the skillet. Stir well, then add Parmesan cheese until smooth; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Combine drained pasta with the sauce, tossing gently to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
  5. Stir in parsley and serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
