  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ¾ cup eggnog
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg (freshly grated recommended)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Mix in the eggnog until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Coat each ball in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar before placing them on the prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
