  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Add to dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 3-inch circles.
  4. Place about 1 teaspoon of Nutella in the center of each circle. Fold and seal edges firmly.
  5. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry dumplings until golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
