  • 6 medium Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, toss sliced apples with ½ cup brown sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon. Spread evenly in a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, and remaining ½ cup brown sugar. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  5. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
