  • 12 large button mushrooms
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz diced jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits (or turkey bacon)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems; chop the stems for later use.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, chopped mushroom stems, bacon bits, and garlic powder until well blended.
  4. Generously stuff each mushroom cap with the filling.
