Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy. Add melted butter, salt, and half of the flour. Mix until smooth, then gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  2. 2. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. 3. Add Flavor: Incorporate rosemary and minced garlic into the dough by kneading briefly.
  4. 4. First Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Shape the Rolls: Punch down the dough gently and divide it into approximately 12 pieces; shape each into a ball. Place on a greased baking sheet close together for soft sides.
  6. 6. Second Rise: Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
