  • 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Sauté onions and mushrooms until softened (5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed vegetables, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
  4. Fold in shredded Swiss cheese until thoroughly incorporated.
  5. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Allow resting before slicing.
