Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by slicing the beef against the grain, cutting the broccoli into bite-sized pieces, and mincing the garlic.
  2. Marinate the beef by combining it with soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch in a bowl. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil and cook the marinated beef until browned on all sides (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and stir-fry the broccoli for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet, add minced garlic and oyster sauce mixed with a splash of water. Stir everything together for another minute until heated through.
  6. Serve hot over your choice of rice or noodles.
