  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground venison, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs about one inch in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine bourbon, ketchup, and brown sugar. Stir until bubbling.
  5. Bake meatballs for about 20 minutes or until cooked through and browned.
  6. Pour half of the sauce over the meatballs and return to the oven for an additional five minutes.
