  • 1 lb rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded fresh mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 23 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp dried basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cook rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes); drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes, adding minced garlic in the last minute.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cooked rigatoni, meat mixture, marinara sauce, basil, and half of the mozzarella until combined.
  5. Transfer to the baking dish; top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
