  • 10 cups day-old crusty bread, cubed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1 large yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage leaves, chopped
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread the cubed bread on a baking sheet and toast for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  2. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the onions and celery; sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Stir in chopped sage and thyme.
