  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp blackened seasoning
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and toss with blackened seasoning in a bowl.
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add onions and mushrooms; sauté until soft (about 5 minutes).
  4. Push vegetables aside, add remaining butter, and cook shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side until pink.
  5. Reduce heat; stir in garlic, then pour in heavy cream. Simmer until thickened (3-4 minutes).
  6. Toss cooked pasta into the skillet until well coated with sauce.
