  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup pecan halves, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Mix in melted butter until crumbly. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Bake crust for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In another bowl, whisk eggs, remaining brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans.
  5. Pour filling over the baked crust. Return to oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.
