Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water (110°F/43°C)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Mix in olive oil, garlic, rosemary, salt, and flour gradually until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the risen dough; divide it into equal portions and shape each into balls. Place in greased muffin tins.
  5. Cover with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.
  6. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake muffins for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
