  • 8 oz thinly sliced turkey breast
  • 4 oz fresh provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, chopped basil, minced garlic, and lemon juice until well combined to create the basil mayo.
  3. Spread basil mayo on two slices of sourdough bread. Layer turkey on one slice and top with provolone cheese.
  4. Drizzle olive oil on both sides of the sandwich. Place it on the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Allow to cool slightly before cutting in half. Serve warm with extra basil mayo drizzled on top.
