  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans (lightly toasted)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Gradually mix in flour until combined. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  3. While the crust bakes, whisk together brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt in another bowl. Stir in chopped pecans.
  4. Pour the filling over the crust and spread evenly. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set and golden.
  5. Allow bars to cool completely before slicing into squares.
