Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Add butter, eggs, food coloring, and the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread filling evenly.
  6. Roll tightly into a log and slice into equal pieces.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle with cream cheese frosting before serving.
