  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (chilled and cubed)
  • 68 tbsp cold water
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup diced ham or cooked bacon
  • 1 cup sautéed vegetables (bell peppers, onions, or spinach)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine flour and cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add cold water until the dough forms. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Make the Filling: Sauté vegetables in a skillet over medium heat until tender. Add ham or bacon and cheese; stir until melted.
  3. Roll Out Dough: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out half the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick; cut into rectangles.
  4. Assemble Pop-Tarts: Place filling on half of each rectangle. Fold over and press edges with a fork to seal.
  5. Bake: Transfer to parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
