  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (113g)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss chopped pears with lemon juice; set aside.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
