Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then sear chicken until golden brown (5-7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add chicken broth and scrape up browned bits from the pan. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream.
  3. Mix in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Let simmer for about five minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions; drain and reserve some pasta water. Add pasta to the sauce along with Parmesan cheese.
  5. Return seared chicken to the skillet and allow it to heat through for an additional 3-4 minutes before serving.
